Woop! We got a mention in a list of comics to watch in 2016 made by the author of KillSixBillionDemons (one of our favourites!)

check it out here

We hope everyone had and/or is having a good festive period, and that you're as excited about the new year as we are.

Goodnight, Little Brother - Part 6

“The two older brothers knew what was going on. They knew that the oldest brother, made of flowers and words, was the creator. They knew that the middle brother, made of fur and brave, was the protector. They also still remembered their grandfather’s story about the three, so they knew who the Stone Boy was.
They didn’t want to believe it, but the Stone Boy, the gentlest, sweetest, boy ever made, was the…”

“Yes, you remember the story, too.”

“Yes, Momo.”

“The two older brothers went to see the Stone Boy, and said that to him, with yet more tears in their eyes. They said that the walking things were all afraid of him because he steps on them when he walks. They said that they had promised that he would leave so that they could grow. They said that he had to stop, forever.
Then, the Stone Boy gently lifted his brothers onto his shoulder. They sat, watched the sunset and cried.

When the sun had set, the middle brother roared a painful roar. He summoned all of his strength and, with one mighty blow of his hammer, he knocked over the Stone Boy. He roared and he cried, and he hit the Stone Boy over and over again. It hurt, I’m sure, but the Stone Boy lay there. He didn’t want to hurt his brother. His brother didn’t want to hurt him either.

For three days, the middle brother hammered at the Stone Boy, and they all cried and wailed together. Each blow from the hammer left a crack, and each crack from each blow made more cracks, and as the cracks grew and grew, the Stone Boy got smaller and smaller, but he wasn’t gone yet.

After the third day, the middle brother could do no more. He was exhausted, and couldn’t stand to hurt his brother any longer. He sat and he panted and he cried.

The oldest brother, made of flowers and words, held the middle brother in his arms and said “It’s ok. Let me finish this”. He didn’t want him to hurt his brother any more, either.
And so, the oldest brother came to the Stone Boy, who was by now not much bigger than him, at the top of the pile of stone cracked off. He sat by the ear of his littlest brother, and he cried and he told him a story.”

“You said the story hadn’t ended, Momo.”

“Well, there is more, but it needs to end soon.”

“I know, Momo. And it hurts.”

“I know. It’s time to say goodnight, Little Brother.”

This hurt me physically, how dare you? I love this two-page ship of Francis & Magnolia (Forever in my heart; rip Maggie)

I guess all you can really do is keep reading to see what happens.

Either that or deny it happens completely and make alternative universe Fragnolia fan fic lol

Both Maggie's and Bantchet's killing off saddens us very much

I know, it hurt us too.
We've actually killed off the two nicest characters we've ever written with this one upload (one is in the text accompaniment).
Never fear, though. There's plenty of good stuff to come.

Oh, how could you end up this strip like this? It really killed me! I'm writing that just now because I haven't noticed the comments section previously ;)

Now that was a turn of events which I simply did not foresee. And here I was thinking this comic strip was going to be a light comedy...
